Despite my interest in children's literature from the turn of the century, I've never picked up this book until now. I absolutely fell in love with it. Anne is superbly characterized. Her personality is so vibrant and imaginative. I was convinced she was my "bosom friend."I recommend this book to all who are appreciate imagination, compassion, a plan good fun. It's a heartwarming book that is good for the soul.
