Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter - Seth Grahame-Smith What a fun book. This is right in line with the zombie/vampire revision movement that classic literature seems to be having at the moment. Here's why I picked it up: 1. I love American history 2. Abe Lincoln is super cool 3. I was curious as to how vampires and slavery were going to interact. As it turns out, most of the wealthy slave owners were vampires and Lincoln's mother was killed by a vamp, too. He strives to abolish slavery simply because the main food source for southern Vamps would then be taken away. Revenge - plain a simple. A Grahame-Smith promises us a battle of epic proportions and doesn't let us down. Highly recommended to those who have a sense of humor.
